Upper preschool: creating independent learners

Once children reach Upper Preschool they are more independent and the focus is on supporting them to be school ready. Preschool children have dropped their nap time during the day and are able to take themselves to the bathroom.  We work hard to support children with their communication and language, enabling them to be able to fully express their ideas and observations to one another and to their key workers, trying out ideas and developing understanding through experiences and activities.

Both French lessons and Focused Teaching take place regularly and children make rapid progress. We foster the excitement for learning children have at this age and build on it to encourage our children to become successful and happy life-long learners.
